Freeverse in the News
It's been a busy few weeks over here at Freeverse! We've been making headlines as well as games. Some recent articles include a New York Times business section article on Apple's App Store, and Ian Lynch Smith making the 2009 Silicon Alley's Top 100 in the NYC digital community list.
In Jenna Wortham's article, Apple's Game Changer, Downloading Now, which ran in the Sunday New York Times on December 6th, Freeverse is mentioned as an App Store success. On our "list of best-selling downloads" were "Moto Chaser, Flick Fishing, Flick Bowling and Skee-ball." Ian Lynch Smith got the chance to discuss the opportunities created by the App Store and how Apple has changed the way we see our cell phones/mobile devices.
Ian Lynch Smith was also chosen as one of the Silicon Alley Top 100 digital community individuals for 2009. The Top 100 is "a list of people in the NYC digital community" who spent 2009 "doing important, interesting, and/or cool stuff". Ian and Freeverse, which Silicon Alley notes has become "one of the top iPhone gaming companies", join the likes of Tim Armstrong of AOL and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.
