New York - April 9th, 2008 - Freeverse and MrJoy proudly announce the release of Hordes of Orcs, a 3D tower defense strategy game for the Windows platform. Wave after wave of successively stronger orcs are appearing from what the village elders call, "The Glowing Portal of Really Bad Things That We Should Have Bricked-Up a Long Time Ago". Players must construct walls and lethal towers to prevent the orcs from reaching the human village. If too many orcs make it to the village, it's time for an Orc Luau, and everyone is invited!
Ian Lynch Smith, President of Freeverse, has said "We're very excited to bring this great Mac game to Windows. Hordes of Orcs has been widely praised for it's originality, beautiful graphics, and addictive gameplay. It's a blast!"
Hordes of Orcs is the first game to use the +7systems Balance Engine to collect game-play information. The more info the Balance Engine collects, the better future versions of Hordes of Orcs will be, resulting in an awesome game only getting better. The Balance Engine is of course optional and only game-play information is transmitted back. At no time do we access any personal information (unless you count doing 683 damage to an Orc personal).
Hordes of Orcs is available for $24.95 from the Freeverse online store. More information about the game, including a full demo, screenshots, and the Worst Game Trailer ever made, are available from the Hordes of Orcs Product Page.

New York, NY - March 31, 2008 - Freeverse and MrJoy today announced a new update to Hordes of Orcs, their original 3D tower defense game. Now featuring new levels and an improved Artificial Intelligence, it's even more challenging to fight off the marauding invasion! This is a free update for all registered owners of the game.
What's New in version 1.1.3:

* Walls are slightly larger so they don’t look tiny compared to the Orcs when zoomed in.
* Orcs are now smarter when navigating maps at high speeds.
* Various graphical and bug fixes.
* Game now pulls balance changes from the +7systems Balance Engine.
* Auto-launch of new waves doesn’t “stop” randomly anymore.
About Hordes of Orcs:
Hordes of Orcs is a “Tower Defense” game in which you must build walls and lethal towers to defend your village from the Orcs emerging from, what the village elders call, “The Glowing Portal of Really Bad Things That We Should Have Bricked-Up a Long Time Ago.” Sadly, the Portal is un-bricked and the Orcs are very, very hungry. If 20 Orcs make it to your village, you’re toast. Featuring full 3D graphics and intriguing gameplay, you'll be hooked for hours!
Hordes of Orcs is available for $24.95 from the Freeverse online store. More information about the game, including a full demo, screenshots, and the strangest game trailer ever, are available from Freeverse's website.
