Official "NBA Hotshot" game coming soon to the iTunes App Store

Brooklyn, NY - December 28, 2009 - Freeverse today announced that NBA Hotshot for the iPhone and iPod touch will be available soon on the iTunes App Store. NBA Hotshot is an officially licensed, casual pick-up-and-play arcade experience that incorporates the responsive and authentic flick-based shooting controls from Freeverse's hit Skee-Ball.

Bringing the classic basketball shooting arcade game to life, NBA Hotshot immerses players in an authentic shoot-out game on the go. A simple flick of the finger sends the ball soaring towards the hoop as players race to sink as many shots as they can before time is up, or challenge themselves in a high scoring mode. In addition, players have the chance to win fabulous prizes such as official NBA team balls for use in-game and other basketball souvenirs! In NBA Hotshot, up to five players can participate in multiplayer battles via Bluetooth, while Plus+ integration allows easy access to leader boards and achievements.

NBA Hotshot will be available soon on the iTunes App Store for $1.99 with a limited time introductory price of $0.99. For screenshots and more information, please visit the NBA Hotshot..

BROOKLYN, NY - December 18, 2009 - Freeverse announced today that Thor for the iPhone and iPod Touch will soon be hitting the iTunes App Store. In this action packed side-scrolling game, players battle by tapping and swiping their way through the dominions of the gods.

Playing as Thor during his epic journey through six earth, four ice and three air based levels, users tap to gather energy orbs and lightning bolts to power the magical hammer Mjolnir. Players must take care to avoid the traps set by enemies and mythical creatures that reduce their achievements to those of mere mortals. Those who have the skills to guide Thor through each challenge will battle bosses and navigate beautiful 3D-style terrain.

Obstacles hamper the legendary character throughout the game, ensuring that Thor will provide a demanding quest for those worthy of guiding a god. Those needing a little extra help can seek out the hidden raven spies tucked away in every level. If all are uncovered, players will receive score bonuses and achievements. Up to four local user accounts can be created, making it easy for friends and family to play and compete against each other in Thor.

Thor will be available soon on the Apple App Store for $3.99. For screenshots and more information, please visit Thor's website.

Freeverse in the News

It's been a busy few weeks over here at Freeverse! We've been making headlines as well as games. Some recent articles include a New York Times business section article on Apple's App Store, and Ian Lynch Smith making the 2009 Silicon Alley's Top 100 in the NYC digital community list.

In Jenna Wortham's article, Apple's Game Changer, Downloading Now, which ran in the Sunday New York Times on December 6th, Freeverse is mentioned as an App Store success. On our "list of best-selling downloads" were "Moto Chaser, Flick Fishing, Flick Bowling and Skee-ball." Ian Lynch Smith got the chance to discuss the opportunities created by the App Store and how Apple has changed the way we see our cell phones/mobile devices.

Ian Lynch Smith was also chosen as one of the Silicon Alley Top 100 digital community individuals for 2009. The Top 100 is "a list of people in the NYC digital community" who spent 2009 "doing important, interesting, and/or cool stuff". Ian and Freeverse, which Silicon Alley notes has become "one of the top iPhone gaming companies", join the likes of Tim Armstrong of AOL and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.
