Marathon: Durandal Title Update Available

New York, September 5th-

There is a new title update available for Marathon: Durandal, run the game while connected to Xbox Live to get this update.

What's new?

- Added Survival mode to the Demo. Check out 6 minutes of intense survival carnage, this will give you a taste of the larger survival game in the full version.

- Tired of swimming for your weapons when you die in lava in Cooperative mode? Now when you (or a team mate) dies in Lava or Alien Goo, their weapons will drop safely on the ledge next to them, no more sunburn!

- Are you an Old School gamer who uses Old School controls? We added a new and 7th controller set which will give you Legacy controls.

- Added more sensitivity settings to give you even tighter control.

- Older games like Marathon, use a very narrow view angle (field of view) while new games use a much wider view. Now you can toggle between the original Marathon field of view (Classic View Angle) and a new modern view angle.

- Added a "player disconnected" message for the host in multiplayer games.

- Fixed a bug where quick match wouldn't find available matches.

- Fixed a bug where the host would not post Bob kills to the Bob-B-Q leaderboard in coop games.

Free WingNuts 2 Scenarios for Download

New York -- September 4, 2007 -- Freeverse today announced the availability of two free scenarios for our award-winning game, WingNuts 2.

The first scenario is called "Cat Attack!". Our two summer testers/interns, Matt Korybski and Evan Wolf, sat down on their last day at Freeverse with the WingNuts 2 editor WingNuts & Bolts, and in no time created a fun and wacky two-level scenario. The office cats, C.C. and Mickey, have strapped jetpacks to their backs and taken over Manhattan. It's up to you to save the city. A bit wacky? Well yes, but it is a lot of fun; just look out for flying T-Rex dinosaurs.

The 2nd scenario is "Yarr Nuts!", a pirate themed scenario which has you sailing on the open seas to collect pirate booty. Created by Freeverse's own Bruce Morrison, "Yarr Nuts!" shows how you can turn an airplane-based game into something completely different.

About Wingnuts 2:

2006 Apple Design Award runner-up for Game of the Year, Wingnuts 2 is an action/arcade game that takes place across multiple time periods. With action that goes back to the classic arcade shooters of yesteryear, combined with eye-dazzling graphics that push the limits of gaming today, Wingnuts 2 has receieved numerous awards and accolades. Beyond the hype, it's buckets o' fun, plain and simple!

"Why all the love? Because Freeverse nailed this one. Nailed it so hard you couldn't pry it loose from its awesomeness with a crowbar." -AppleLinks (5 out of 5 rating)
