Chatalog 1.1 Chat Logging Tool Released by Freeverse

Chatalog is a powerful app for seamlessly storing your iChats directly in your email program -- exactly where all of your other online correspondence is kept, and where it is easy to group and search.

Once in your email you can:

- Apply rules to sort your chats into the right folders
- View your chats in threads
- Forward interesting chats
- Archive off all your instant messaging conveniently

And you don't need another program in your already crowded dock, or learn to use a new interface.

What's more, Chatalog compiles lists of the images and links sent via iChat and builds them into convenient web pages for you to browse. Want to find that image someone sent you last week? It's a click away sorted by who sent it, or chronologically and as easy to browse as Google images. Another page gives you instant access to all the links you've sent and received.

Never again will you have to go hunting for that vital link your client IM'd, or spend precious time vainly searching in your email for a contact number, only to realize it had been iChatted to you. Chatalog will save you time; it may save your butt.

What's new in this version:

• Old chat archiver tool included. This will take every chat that you logged before installing chatalog and add its stuff to the library and build an mbox file to import into an email client. It will only run if Chatalog is registered.
• Special characters in logs handled properly.
• Added "three strikes" error handling- a failed log attempt has to fail 3 times in a row before it is reported to the user.
• Chats with several people in them will no longer send duplicate emails.
• Updated CSS and HTML for library pages.
• New date range and average chats per day in stats.
• Images and links are now correctly sorted by date, with the most recent items at the top.
• Installation is simple. Running the update will automatically replace older versions.
